I am going to sweeten this deal and will add my personal match of up to $25,000 to every dollar donated to Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley through October 31st. That means that for every $1 you donate, Habitat East Bay Silicon Valley will get $3 – if this challenge is met, Habitat will receive $75,000.

I have volunteered for Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley since 2012, and currently serve on the Foundation Board which has allowed me a front row seat to the work and the impact this organization has on our region. Not only by providing homes for hard working families, but long term, systemic change and impact to the surrounding community. Your funding not builds homes for hardworking families in our community, it creates a platform for those families to build a new future. For families served:
- 93% saw a reduction in health problems
- 87% of Habitat kids graduate high school, and 60% pursue higher education
- 73% of Habitat homeowners are now able to save, with both retirement and household savings doubling

Habitat for Humanity has been a long time partner for Cisco around the world, but especially here in the Bay Area. Cisco volunteers have had a hand in just about every affordable housing development Habitat East Bay Silicon Valley has produced over the last 20 years. If you haven’t had a chance to spend your Time2Give hours on a Habitat construction site yet, I encourage you to do so ASAP.
